Riteish Deshmukh’s Job At Risk: Salman Khan Takes Playful Dig On ‘Alliance’

Salman Khan Alliance

Salman Khan turned heads with a cheeky comment during a surprise visit to the sets of “Alliance,” and fans are convinced it was a not-so-subtle jab at rival reality show “Lock Upp 2.” A new promo from the show, released ahead of its telecast, has already set social media buzzing.

The clip opens with Sohail Khan visibly upset after a tough day inside the house, kicking a door in frustration while fellow contestant Kushal Tandon looks on with concern. Just as tensions peak, a “System Breached” alert rings through the house, announcing an unexpected visitor. Salman Khan then walks in, catching all the contestants off guard.

He greets Sohail with a warm hug, and Sohail admits he had a rough day, saying he had “freaked out.” Salman, ever the mood-lifter, turns to the house and jokingly asks if anyone has been giving them stress. But it was his next line that really got people talking. In a lighthearted aside, Salman remarked that Riteish Deshmukh’s job seemed to be in danger. He did not name the show directly, but the timing and context left little to the imagination.

Riteish Deshmukh currently co-hosts “Lock Upp 2” alongside Farah Khan, a show widely seen as competing for the same reality TV audience as “Alliance.” Fans online were quick to interpret Salman’s comment as a playful shot at the rival format, even though he stopped short of naming it outright.

Both shows launched around the same period and continue to draw comparisons, despite streaming on different platforms. “Alliance” is available on Amazon Prime Video, while “Lock Upp 2” streams on Netflix, keeping the friendly rivalry between the two reality formats firmly in the spotlight.
