Surendra Singh Choudhary, popularly known as Bittu Tabahi, has taken his cleanliness campaign to Delhi, where he joined volunteers for a cleanup drive along the Yamuna riverbank.
The cleanup was carried out on September 20 as part of World Cleanup Day activities. In his first drive in Delhi, Bittu Tabahi said the team managed to collect around 585 kg of waste in approximately four and a half hours.

The riverbank reportedly had a mix of discarded plastic, flower garlands, religious offerings and other waste. Local residents and volunteers joined the effort, helping clear the area.
Bittu Tabahi shared details of the drive on social media and thanked those who participated in the cleanup. The initiative is part of his wider effort to travel to different parts of India and encourage people to take greater responsibility for keeping public spaces clean.
The cleanup campaign comes after Bittu Tabahi gained attention for his work at the Ajnar River in Madhya Pradesh. His efforts there brought him wider recognition, including an opportunity involving Boyan Slat, founder and CEO of The Ocean Cleanup.
What’s Next for Bittu Tabahi?
The Yamuna drive is reportedly part of a three-day cleanup activity. After Delhi, Bittu Tabahi has announced Kherki Daula in Gurugram as the next stop for his cleanliness campaign.
His latest initiative has also drawn attention online, with social media users responding to the cleanup efforts and the participation of local volunteers.
From the Ajnar River to the Yamuna, Bittu Tabahi’s campaign is now expanding beyond Madhya Pradesh, with a focus on cleaning public spaces and encouraging wider community participation.
