The Realme 8 5G will go on sale in India for the first time today, April 28 at 12 p.m. (noon). In India, a low-cost 5G smartphone was released earlier this week. The phone is an enhanced version of the Realme 8, which was released in India in March alongside the Realme 8 Pro. Realme’s 5G smartphone features a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and Dynamic RAM Expansion technology. It has a hole-punch monitor, a 90Hz display, and a triple rear camera setup. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Specifications for the Realme 8 5G
The Realme 8 5G is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone that runs Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. A 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate is featured on the smartphone. Dragontrail Glass is being used to protect the display. The Realme phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU on the inside. Customers can choose between 4GB and 8GB of LPDDR4x memory. As previously mentioned, the phone features DRE technology, which turns extra storage into virtual RAM to improve performance.
The 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens is the star of the Realme 8 5G’s triple rear camera setup. A 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 portrait lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens round out the package. For selfies and video calls, the Realme 8 5G has a 16-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.1 lens on the front.
The Realme phone has 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, which can be extended using a microSD card (up to 1TB) in a dedicated slot. The mobile has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. Realme has included a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The phone weighs 185 grams and measures 162.5×74.8×8.5mm.

The Realme 8 5G is available in two variants,
1. 4GB RAM + 128GB storage version starting at Rs. 14,999 in India.
2. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration is Rs. 16,999.
Realme has two color options: Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue. Flipkart, Realme.com, and offline stores can sell the smartphone.
