Forget the fireworks, the real Fourth of July show came from Kim Kardashian’s Instagram. On Monday, the SKIMS founder dropped a lake house photo dump so soft and domestic that fans immediately started planning the wedding.
“Summers at the lake with my favorite people,” Kim captioned the post, butterfly emoji included. Buried in the dump was the picture everyone is talking about: a selfie with boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, the 41 year old F1 driver, with her 8 year old daughter Chicago tucked in beside them. Hamilton’s head resting on Kim’s shoulder, Chicago grinning on the other side. That single frame is what broke timelines overnight.
The rest of the dump reads like a full family production. North, 13, Saint, 10, and Psalm, 7, all show up, along with sister Khloe Kardashian and nieces True Thompson and Dream Kardashian. The crew spent the holiday weekend on dirt bikes, sparklers, and a lunch table dressed head to toe in USA flag decor, with lake sunsets and firecrackers rolling through the background. Basically the most all American flex a reality star could pull off.
This isn’t Kim and Lewis’s first social media moment either. Back in June, she posted a video of herself nearly wiping out on a Citi Bike while riding around New York City with him. Barely a month before that, the two were caught in a viral embrace at the Monaco Grand Prix right after Hamilton crossed the line in second place, a moment that had shippers losing it for days.
How long have they actually been a thing?
Rumors about Kim and Lewis first caught fire at a New Year’s Eve party in Aspen. From there, the pattern has been hard to miss: Paris in February, Japan in March, a Broadway date in New York in May, then Monaco in June. Throw in Hamilton’s rare on record comment about Kim earlier this month, and the “just friends” theory doesn’t really hold up anymore.
