Kylie Jenner made her first Victoria’s Secret runway appearance wearing a piece reportedly worth US$50 million. Subtle was clearly off the mood board.
The beauty entrepreneur surprised viewers at the October 18 fashion show in Los Angeles, stepping onto the catwalk in the returning Fantasy Bra, created with jewellery house Jacob & Co.

She paired the sparkling design with a sheer white miniskirt, clear heels and oversized feathered wings. The outfit brought back a familiar Victoria’s Secret silhouette, with Jenner taking on one of the brand’s most recognisable runway honours.
The jewellery was extraordinary even by Fantasy Bra standards. According to Vogue, the design features 4,410 natural diamonds surrounding a 75.54-carat yellow diamond. Fifteen craftspeople spent more than 1,000 hours making the piece, which weighs just under four pounds.

Her support team was easy to spot. Timothée Chalamet and Kris Jenner applauded from the audience as she walked, with cameras catching their reactions during the show.

Why Victoria’s Secret picked Kylie
Chief creative officer Adam Selman told Vogue that Jenner’s appeal across fashion, television and popular culture drove the choice. The brand wanted an unexpected wearer with a large following to introduce the returning design.

That decision gave the evening two reveals at once: kylie Jenner’s debut and the Fantasy Bra’s first runway appearance since Elsa Hosk wore it in 2018. Previous wearers include Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio.

The tradition began in 1996, when Claudia Schiffer modelled the original million-dollar design for advertising rather than the runway. Over the following decades, it became a showcase for elaborate jewellery and some of the brand’s best-known models.
For designer Jacob Arabo, the ambition went beyond the valuation. He said the arrangement of the stones was intended to catch light as the wearer moved, making the walk itself part of the design. Jenner’s surprise appearance gave that craftsmanship its first major audience.
