Jio Platforms IPO has drawn significant attention from investors ahead of its scheduled opening on October 21, 2026. A key feature of the public offering is the reservation of shares worth up to ₹2,500 crore for eligible shareholders of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the parent company of Jio Platforms. The IPO is expected to raise approximately ₹30,213 crore through a fresh issue of shares, making it one of India’s largest public offerings. The subscription window is scheduled to remain open until October 23, 2026, with the price band fixed at ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share.
Under the Jio Platforms IPO shareholder quota, eligible individual investors and Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs) who held Reliance Industries equity shares on the specified eligibility date can apply through the reserved category. The relevant date is October 14, 2026, when Jio Platforms filed its Red Herring Prospectus. Investors generally needed to purchase their Reliance shares by October 13 to allow settlement before the eligibility date. Holding even one qualifying RIL share may meet the shareholding requirement, subject to the offer document’s conditions. The maximum application amount under the shareholder category is ₹2 lakh, and eligible investors may also submit a separate application under the retail or non-institutional category, subject to applicable rules.
Investors planning to participate in the Jio Platforms IPO can apply through their stockbroker’s platform or a bank-supported ASBA facility. Applicants must select the Reliance Industries shareholder category where eligible, enter their bid details and approve the payment mandate to complete the process. The reserved quota provides qualifying shareholders with a separate route to seek allotment, but it does not guarantee that shares will be allotted. With strong market interest surrounding Jio Platforms’ stock market debut, investors should review the official offer documents, confirm their eligibility and assess the risks before making an investment decision.
