For the fourth and final test, Team India arrived in Brisbane. The team here is subject to certain ‘restrictions.’ Not many services in the hotel are open to players. In addition to housekeeping, the players in the hotel, where the Indian team stayed, cannot use the swimming pool.It is assumed that the transmission community covid-19 has been stopped as Brisbane is already a hotspot.
“We are locked up in our rooms, have to make our own beds, clean our own toilets. Food is coming from a nearby Indian restaurant which will be given to us on our floor,” members of the travelling Indian contingent described the hotel to The Times of India.
“We can’t get out of the floor that has been reserved for us. The entire building is empty, but we can’t access any facilities at the hotel, including the swimming pool and gym. All of the hotel’s cafes and restaurants are shut down.
The report also states that BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah are in contact with Cricket Australia authorities, and the Australian Board has vowed to take immediate steps to address the problems. Earlier, Team India had expressed doubts about playing the fourth test in Brisbane due to tough quarantine rules in the area.
The BCCI posted photographs on Wednesday of the players involved. “We began our preparations for the final test at Gaba,” he tweeted and wrote. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah can also be seen on the field. The BCCI had said earlier that during fielding in Sydney Bumrah was stressed by the stomach.
