Virat Kohli Gets Vaccinated. The Indian captain posted a photo of himself getting vaccinated against the coronavirus on Monday, also urged others to get inoculated as soon as possible.
Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket captain, posted a photo of himself having a COVID-19 shot on his Instagram story on Monday. Others can get vaccinated “as soon as you can,” according to the cricket legend. Kohli and his partner, Anushka Sharma, revealed last week that they were launching a fundraising campaign for COVID-19 relief efforts in India. Virat and Anushka donated Rs 2 crore to the initiative and encouraged others to join them in “helping our India.” The celebrity couple announced a day later that the campaign had received Rs 3.6 crore in donations in just 24 hours, saying they were “overwhelmed.”
“Grateful to everyone who has donated so far. Thank you for your contribution. We have crossed the half way mark, let’s keep going,” Anushka posted via her Instagram account.
The fundraiser’s goal is to “deploy oxygen solutions, such as concentrators and oxygen plants, to hospitals across India,” as well as to “bolster medical manpower, home treatment, and help scale India’s vaccination efforts.”
Anushka and I have started a campaign on @ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief, and we would be grateful for your support.
