Anne Hathaway is not letting bizarre internet speculation steal the spotlight from her pregnancy.
The Oscar-winning actress recently found herself at the centre of online rumours questioning whether her baby bump was real. Instead of getting drawn into the speculation, Hathaway responded with humour while sharing moments from the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming film, The End of Oak Street.
The 43-year-old actress posted a video from the premiere on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of her red-carpet appearance, preparations and interactions with fans. Alongside the clip, she made a playful reference to the rumours, joking that while her hair may have been altered, her baby bump was very much real.

Anne Hathaway Shows Off Her Baby Bump
Hathaway’s appearance at the premiere quickly became a talking point, thanks to her unconventional maternity look.
She wore a custom sculptural halterneck creation by Prabal Gurung, featuring a light-blue silk Mikado design with a dramatic train and crimson detailing. Rather than pairing the couture-inspired top with a traditional formal skirt, she styled it with relaxed, low-rise blue jeans. Red heels echoed the colour of the outfit, while a high ponytail and bold red lipstick completed the look.
The outfit offered a mix of casual denim and high-fashion drama, with the design leaving her baby bump visible. Her styling remained relatively simple, allowing the statement top to take centre stage.
Hathaway Is Expecting Her Third Child
Hathaway announced in June that she and her husband, Adam Shulman, are expecting their third child. The couple are already parents to two sons, Jonathan and Jack.
Speaking with PEOPLE at the premiere, Hathaway also reflected on experiencing pregnancy in her 40s compared with her previous pregnancies in her 30s. She said she now feels more focused on being present and appreciating the moment.
The actress has continued promoting The End of Oak Street during her pregnancy. The film, directed by David Robert Mitchell, stars Hathaway alongside Ewan McGregor and follows a family whose neighbourhood is mysteriously transported to the Jurassic era. The movie is scheduled for a US theatrical release on August 14, 2026.
A Lighthearted Answer to Online Speculation
Rather than issuing a lengthy response to the pregnancy speculation, Hathaway chose to address it with a quick joke. Her reaction has added another memorable moment to an already closely watched red-carpet appearance.
With her latest look, Hathaway also showed that maternity fashion does not necessarily have to mean sacrificing personal style. Her combination of couture, denim and a visible baby bump made the premiere look stand out while keeping the focus firmly on her own fashion choices.
