5 Side Effects Of Vaping You Should Know

You’re not lonely if you’ve considered wanting to get a nicotine habit. Almost seven out of ten smokers say they intend to quit. Quitting smoking is one of the smartest decisions to do — smoking harms almost every organ in your body and heart. About a third of heart attack deaths are caused by smoking and second-hand smoke.

Though vapes are not medical devices, the patient can experience side-effects. However, these side effects are not specific. With the various system and e-liquid factors on the market and the frequency and process variations between someone vapors, the side-effects are mostly situational, rather than uniform.

Here are 5 Vaping Side Effects You Should Be Aware Of.

Coughing

Coughing when vaping is a pretty common occurrence now as well. According to a study of 600 vapers, almost half of them confessed to coughing their first time using an e-cigarette. After acclimating for around ten weeks, 92 percent of vapers reported that coughing was no longer a problem. In only one week, 1% of people no longer coughed, while 7 percent still coughed. This is a bit more comforting than a smoker’s cough, which tends to get worse over time.

But, first and foremost, what causes coughing while vaping? The synthetic organic compound Propylene Glycol, which is a primary ingredient in the majority of e-liquids, is one possible explanation for this.

Dry Mouth and Throat

The most common side effect among vapers is dry mouth. The key cause is an excessive intake of the essential ingredients of e-juice, PG (Propylene Glycol), and VG (Vegetable Glycerin). More specifically, PG is more serious than VG in terms of causing dry mouth, but those who vape pure VG e-juice still experience dry mouth on occasion.

Several causes, or their combined effects, may cause throat pain and itching. Excessive PG use, stimulation of the throat’s taste, and even the coil material used in the atomizer may all cause throat irritation.

The best way to relieve dry mouth symptoms caused by inhaling too much PG or VG is to use oral hydration products like Biotene. You may also simply drink more water than you did previously. The symptom of dry mouth will, in general, be relieved shortly.

Chest Pain From Vaping

According to Dr. Ahasic (section chief of pulmonary and critical care medicine at Norwalk Hospital) “vaping-associated lung injury will manifest differently in different people.” “Common threads, on the other hand, include lung inflammation, severe lung injury, and respiratory failure — a life-threatening condition.”

Dr. Ahasic said that, in addition to respiratory symptoms like chest pain, cough, and shortness of breath, people who have a vaping-related lung injury can also experience general symptoms like exhaustion, fever, and unintentional weight loss, as well as gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.

“Symptoms of vaping-related lung injury can take days or weeks to appear, and in most cases, GI symptoms appear before respiratory symptoms,” Dr. Ahasic explained.

Headache

Headaches are a side effect of vaping. Headaches are one of the most common side effects. Another common side effect, in addition to headaches, a dry and sore throat, which we will also discuss. Now, the causes of headaches and the forms of vaping headaches differ, but every vaper can experience one of them at some point. On the other hand, some vapers said that when they first started using the drug, the amount of nicotine in those E-cigarettes gave them headaches, but that over time, the amount of nicotine in those E-cigarettes increased and became worse.

 Vaping Cause You Anxiety

Anxiety disorders affect about 18.1 percent of adults in the United States, so this is unsurprising. Since nicotine is quite close to caffeine, which has been shown to intensify anxiety-related symptoms, it is our responsibility to inform you that vaping may exacerbate these symptoms.

Nicotine has a stimulating effect. It’s linked to caffeine, and the results can be very similar. There are side effects of ingesting too much nicotine in a short period of time, just as there are with caffeine. Seasoned vapers will recognize what we’re talking about; we’ve all seen the effects of chain-vaping or trying out a friend’s mod packed with e-liquid with a higher nicotine intensity than we’re used to. Whether you’re new to vaping or trying to persuade a loved one to make the move, there are a few things to keep in mind. You should see a doctor if you have nausea, vomiting, headaches, a watery mouth, a racing heart, or weak coordination.
