Kendall Jenner Draws All Eyes in Paris Ahead of L’Oréal’s Runway Show

Kendall Jenner made a sharp wardrobe switch in Paris, stepping out in understated neutrals before opening L’Oréal Paris’s September 28 runway show in sheer black. Held at Place Joffre, the event brought fashion, film and music stars together as Paris Fashion Week got underway.

Her runway outfit paired a floor-length transparent dress with visible ivory lingerie. A high neckline balanced the dramatic leg slit, while black stiletto sandals kept the styling simple. The contrast between the dark fabric and pale layers underneath did most of the work.

Earlier in the day, Jenner had taken a different approach. She wore a beige blazer with flared khaki trousers, adding pointed flats and a Chanel bag in similarly muted shades. Black wraparound sunglasses broke up the neutral palette. It was a tailored daytime outfit with very little fuss, making the evening’s change feel all the more striking.

A runway with room for more than models

Jenner’s appearance was one part of a much broader celebrity lineup. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Eva Longoria and Simone Ashley also joined the show.

Heidi Klum, Andie MacDowell and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu took part, alongside Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and Italian Paralympian Beatrice Vio. With the illuminated Eiffel Tower behind the catwalk, the event brought together familiar faces from entertainment and sport in a distinctly Parisian setting.

And the final appearance belonged to Céline Dion. The singer closed the event, adding a music-world finale to a night already packed with recognisable names. Jenner had delivered the opening fashion moment; Dion supplied the closing act.
