After Rihanna expressed her views on the agitation of Indian farmers against the new farm laws in New Delhi, former adult star Mia Khalifa also showed her support and dropped a tweet, referring to the ongoing protest.

In favor of…not the US’ new health or environmental threat, but the unruly and aggressive demonstrators of farmers in India, Popstar Rihanna first appealed.

It preceded, Rihanna’s quote tweeting, the Overseas Human Rights Watch NGO.

In their own subtle ways, many celebrities back home expressed love for Rihanna, such as Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh and Shibani Dandekar.

Thunberg tweeted late on Tuesday night, “We stand in solidarity with #farmersprotest in India,” along with a news story about the Centre’s decision to ban internet services at three protest sites near the border with Delhi. The same CNN story was also shared by Rihanna, tweeting why “we weren’t talking about this.”

Bollywood celebrities such as actor Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Suniel Shetty join Bollywood celebrities after foreign celebrities and politicians including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, environmental campaigner Greta Thunberg, porn actor Mia Khalifa and acclaimed Barbadian singer Rihanna drew attention to the farmers’ protest in India over the latest agricultural rules.
