The world premiere of Enola Holmes 3 happened at The Plaza Hotel in New York City on June 25, and Millie Bobby Brown made sure it counted. The 22-year-old showed up in an ice-blue strapless gown by Galia Lahav, paired with a Chopard diamond necklace reportedly carrying over 32 carats of stones. Jake Bongiovi, her husband, matched her in a powder-blue suit. These two were not subtle about it.
The night had more going on than just a great outfit though. Noah Schnapp was there too, fresh off the Stranger Things series finale, and his reunion with Millie on the red carpet felt genuinely warm. They go back years, and it showed. Also in attendance were co-stars Louis Partridge, Himesh Patel, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and director Philip Barantini. Millie’s father, Joseph Brown, also made a rare public appearance to support his daughter, which added a quiet personal layer to what was already a big night.

What the Film Is Actually About
Enola Holmes 3 takes the detective to Malta, where she is about to marry Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge) when things go sideways fast. Sherlock Holmes, played by Henry Cavill, goes missing, and Enola has to put the wedding on hold to find him. According to Netflix, it is her most dangerous case yet, and this time her personal and professional lives are colliding in a way they have not before.
The tagline Netflix is running with is: “It will take a Holmes to save a Holmes.” Helena Bonham Carter returns as Eudoria Holmes, and Himesh Patel joins as Dr. John Watson. Adolescence director Philip Barantini is behind the camera this time around, stepping in after Harry Bradbeer helmed the first two films. Jack Thorne, who wrote the second film, is back on script duties.
Millie also has producer credits on this one through her company PCMA Productions. Jake Bongiovi serves as an executive producer too. So this really is a family project, in every sense.

The Numbers Behind the Franchise
The first Enola Holmes film pulled 189.9 million hours of viewing in its first 28 days on Netflix. The second managed 158 million hours and held a spot in the global top 10 for four consecutive weeks after it dropped in November 2022. Both films have continued to rack up views since then. The third has a lot to live up to, but the audience is clearly there.
Production wrapped in June 2025 after a shoot that took the crew to the UK and Malta. There was a brief delay mid-shoot due to food poisoning on set, but filming was completed on schedule. The budget is estimated between $20 and $30 million.
Enola Holmes 3 lands on Netflix on July 1, 2026. If the premiere is anything to go by, the film is coming in with full energy.
